What is a landscape image?
A landscape in my opinion is a cityscape where there are many buildings together and when you are able to see the reflection of one building on another. I really like urban landscapes because they are more interesting to look at and In my opinion they just all together look better. Skyscrapers really represents the idea of landscapes in my head.
When think of the word landscape I see a way an image is presented or landscaping a certain area. the first 10-20 words that come to mind when i think of the word landscape is: land, countryside, cows, grass, paintings, art, images, sky, trees, farmland, flowers, arrangement, colour, saturation, dessert, buildings. i could not t think of anymore words. the first images that show up when i google landscape are:

These are images which I found and I have used these images as a mood board of different landscapes, for example you have city views with a sun set and lights in the buildings, mountains with lakes that have the skies reflection, flowers that blow in the wind, tall trees that go well with the landscape. all these images almost seem unreal because they are aesthetically pleasing. My ideal landscape would be a really nice sunset with mountains that you cant see the top of because they are too tall and the clouds cover them and a clear lake in between them and you can tell how cold the lake would be just by looking. When i look outside the classroom window is there are shadows of the windows with bright green flowers that are in yellow, green and brown flower pots the sun is blazing on the wall of the building. i think i have taken a landscape image i just didn't know at the time because i just learnt what the meaning was.
DAFNA TALMOR
For quite awhile Dafna's work was based on photographs taken in interior spaces with some suggestions of outside space. Dafna's work now consists of man-made elements that have been cut out of the negatives in attempt to neutralise and remove clues or connotations these elements may provide to a certain location
the first constructed landscape was made by guy tillim and the second one was created by Lucien Herve. These images both have a greyscale colour with some type of natural light coming through a window. both of these landscapes have curved stairs with a dark space underneath

I chose this images because you can see the people but they don't really look like people. The most interesting thing about this image is that it is blurred and it makes a cool affect. different to images I've seen I chose this images because you can see the people but they don't really look like people so I think its cool. the most interesting thing about this image is that it is blurred and it makes a cool affect. this image was a little odd because its not the normal type of picture usually people don't like blurred images but this one seems different and its different to images I've seen before.
I think they are constructed by from famous landscapes around the world and the camera has been put in a fixed position and used a time lapse video and stopped the video in a random frame a created a freeze frame. I think the photographer chose this way because it’s different and no one else has done it. To merge two images together you could use photoshop and layer the images on to each other. I would like to collect from a busy city so maybe New York City in the night I think it would be cool. I think the technique used to create this photo is freeze frame and I think the process took quite long.

This was my attempt at making the college I'm actually happy with the way it turned out. we had to cut out images and then place them onto the image and make it blend in but we had to start from the middle and gradually add more onto the image. I didn't manage to finish this project but I really like the blue water strip at the top of the image because I think it complements the project nicely.
landscape spider diagram
this is what we did in todays lesson we planned what we would want our landscapes to involve and where we want to take them and how to take them. this would be really helpful for when it is time to take my landscapes
The rain drop images are good because you can clearly see the raindrops up close and the background with the people and the buildings. The rain images are different to what id usually take but i'm still really happy with the way the turned out i could've taken more images with different backgrounds. The images of the school building are really good i could've done better on the second image i don't like it at all.
outside of school landscapes
i am really happy with these images because they are my favourite type of landscape. the image with the city building is really good because it has the reflection of the buildings in front. i think the nature one is okay i think i could've gotten a better picture but the different shades of green makes it look really good. The beach landscapes are good because it includes everything like the rocks, pebbles, sea and the view i really like them and i don't think i need to improve on them.
These pictures are purely just nature which I'm really happy about because the colour of the green with sun light looks really good and with the stream of water makes the images feel more like nature and the images are what you image a nature picture to look like. I would've liked the stream of water to be more visible I would also like to edit the picture but out the contrast more higher. With the last picture I think I could improve without the bar but overall its still a good image.
Awoiska Van Der Molen
is a Dutch photographer who is living in Amsterdam. she has came out with 3 books about black and white landscapes photograph made in remote places.
these are a few of her photographs I really like them because of the contrast and the black and white colours. I also like where the photographs were taken it feels safe to me. its almost like you can't see the image but at the same time you can that's what makes it so cool.
Luke Saxon
Luke Saxon is a young artist who explores the landscapes of his home town he also explores the contrast of ethnicity. Luke's work really interests me because is work is urban and I think the way he presents his art work and the brightness of them really catches my eye because of the colours and I thinks its more of the. bright blue sky. The way he takes them of random people is good because it gives us an idea of what it's like where he lives. In these photographs is see people just going about their day and doing what they usally so that's why these images are so unique. the images are so bright and colourful but with a urban theme. One image includes a cracked glass which is something I've never seen and actually liked the way it was photographed.
These are images are also by Luke Saxon but with different theme he has merged two images together to make one image and these aren't really my style. The images are really clean as in the way they are positioned because it makes them seem like they are in the same place. the way id describe these images would be in a way that they could exactly picture what it looks like. The one that's a cat the plastic actually positioned like a cat. I also like the one that's a tree is my favorite because its like the tree is growing on the wall. Luke takes the reality of England because most people think its posh and fancy when really its nothing like that at all.
Collage experiment
I tried to create this collage and tried to create this so that certain parts of the collage so that certain areas match up, for example I tried to make the the sky's were a part of the same photo it was a little hard to do and I'm not very happy with the way it turned out only because you can tell the images are different.
landscapes photographs in school
In these photographs I can see only nature like trees and grass I also used a plastic clear sheet to go over the camera to give a different effect. I think these images can be described as boring and free but that's my opinion just because I don't really like nature landscapes it just doesn't catch my eye. to really describe these photographs id say there's a fair amount of trees in the back with grass that's getting old and torn away with a grey dull sky.
These are a few images of another collage I done which is themed city landscapes I'm didn't really have anything in mind when making the collage but one of the images looked like they are the same image which is exactly what I wanted. I think having the bright light effects the images because you are able to see
I had another go at taking pictures of the collages I think I done worse than before because it has failed to show the whole image which is really annoying but with these images I turned the light of so there wouldn't be anything to reflect on the images but it didn't really change much.
I added a radial blur to the images I took to create the effect of dizziness I actually really like them like this because it messes with my head its almost like the photographs are taken at the moment when the camera falls. I think I could've focused on one point in the photograph and have the rest blurred but overall i think these images have potential.
I decided to cut the images into strips and mix the up together to create the effect of it being trippy but it didn't really turn out the way i wanted it to which is disappointing because i had a lot of hope with this experiment.
Here I tried to cut out parts of one image and stick them onto another but it didn't really turn out how I wanted them to. The car is the best bit because it blends in with the image even though it's from another.
this was apart of my making days. This was my first attempt at making these and i can’t say i’m happy with the results. there are so many things that i could’ve done better. i like the composition of these images i had to think about where i wanted each strip to be placed.
These are the results and what I had done was photo copied the images and added another layer and coloured them in different colours. it was extremley hard at first but then i got tje hang of it. to do all of this i only used a printer.
Using the images above i used them as a background to something i cut out. I really like these because of the outline it creates
I tried to re do the collage I had done before. For this one I actually thought about what I was doing
cyanotypes
i really enjoyed make cyanotpes as its something i hadn't done before and the process was really simple. we had to get some leaves or sticks or flowers and place them on a special type of paper and leave it in the sun for 15-20 minutes then after you have done that make sure no more light gets to the paper, then take all the leaves and stuff of and it leaves a blue print and you need to wash it in water then it should be done.
